Privacy Policy for Novaread

Novaread operates the Novaread mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We strictly limit data collection to what is necessary for providing our reading tracker service.

Parent / Account Holder Information: When an adult creates an account, we collect an email address and authentication credentials.
Child Profile Data: Parents may create profile(s) for their children using a first name or nickname, optional date of birth along with reading logs and tracking preferences. Beyond this parent entered information we do not collect any further information about user.
Payment Information: Subscription billing is processed directly by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store or process payment card details on our servers.

Our application is designed for family use, with account setup, settings, and external links protected behind a parental PIN gate.

Profile creation and subscription management are restricted to adults (18+).
Child profiles are created and managed solely by the account holder (parent or guardian).
We do not collect personal data directly from children, nor do we track children across third-party websites or apps for advertising purposes.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal data directly from a minor without verifiable consent, contact us at novareaduk@gmail.com, and we will delete it immediately.

We use collected data exclusively to:

Save reading logs, award stickers/levels and keep parents informed of their child's progress.
Manage account authentication and customer support requests.
Send transactional account emails (e.g., password resets).

We never sell user data or build advertising profiles on children or parents.

We may use trusted third-party service providers to support app functionality:

App Store / Google Play Console / Stripe: Subscription management and in-app purchase verification.
Base44: App building and development. App and usage analysis.

Parents maintain full control over their family's data:

Editing Data: You can update or remove child nicknames and reading entries within the app at any time.
Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated child logs directly in the app settings menu (Settings > Account > Delete Account) or by emailing novareaduk@gmail.com. Deletion purges all parent email and child profile data from our databases.
